The scale lanyard is soft and bendable and easy to place directly on to your route on the map.  The lanyard has two scales on it; 1:25k and 1:50k, which facilitates measuring the distance of your hike.  Detachable safety release.  Perfect replacement for your Silva compass, and works with other compasses as well.  Attaches using a simple loop-through design, so it can be attached to virtually anything that has a lanyard attachment hole.
