Kick your resources up a notch.  If you already own an Original Candle Lantern, you can improve the functionality of it by adding a long-lasting LED to the base - now you have a LED lantern.  Or you can screw the LED base into the bottom of your lantern and use it as a flashlight.  Unscrew it and use it as a separate pocket light, or a self standing table lamp!  This kit also replaces the base and hanging hook.
